Print Campaign

Media buying is a tough business with frequently used in-your-face marketing tactics. MS&R partnered with Elevation Creation to
create the opposite approach most often used by media buying shops. Our underlying concept was to present a calm, simple and organic firm able to maneuver in thiscomplex world of media buying. An organic feeling was invoked by the use of leaves for each of the three division logomarks. The new names created were Media Source, MS&R’s political division, AdPoint Media, MSR’s commercial media division and Advize Group, MS&R’s survey, research and consulting division. On their website images of nature help present their firm as approachable.

Annual Reports

The Denver Foundation provides over 1,800 grants totaling over $17 millionto 700 local non-profit organizations.  We continually reinforce the message by visually demonstrating the positive results of The Denver Foundation’s contributions to the areas of Arts and Culture, Civic and Education, Health and Human Services. With the use of photographs of grantee recipients, a variety and diverse range of non-profits are highlighted each year in their Annual Report. It's pleasure working with one of Denver's oldest and finest foundations.

Print Campaign

Copper Mountain Resort needed a communications firm that could create a national and international identity for its resort located 20 minutes from Vail, Colorado. We created a remarkably simple—and effective—corporate identity that distinguished the resort from other ski resorts throughout North America. The identity’s use of exciting images and scenes only found at Copper Mountain attracted national and international skiers, snowboarders and summer recreationists. Special programs for kids, families and snowboarders increased visitors to almost 1 million. Our business relationship with Copper Mountain Resort endured for over eight years.

Print Campaign

Eldora Ski Resort, a privately owned ski area near Boulder, Colorado, hired MontanoSolaria to increase market share and awareness. Heavy traffic en route to the larger ski areas has been a growing problem in Colorado. MoSo promoted the close proximity of Eldora’s convenient location to Denver on billboards. Snowboard posters aimed at college students were created along with promotions for weekday ski passes. The repositioning of Eldora as an affordable, nearby and exciting place to ski allowed Eldora to increase visitors by 25%.

Print Campaign

The Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta, Georgia, initiated a national educational campaign for HIV/AIDS prevention. The informational campaign communicated to gay, bi-sexual and heterosexual individuals along with specific programs addressing IVdrug users and prostitutes. The materials incorporated comments from individuals who practice safer sex and who directly and frankly give reasons why others also should be practicing safer sex. Brochures directing people to free HIV/AIDS test clinics were distributed throughout Colorado.  Posters and flyers, safer sex kits and numerous other items were created over an eight-year period.

We continue to work with Cordy Public Relations from Washington D.C. for an enduring partnership that began 17 years ago. For the Coor Brewing Company campaign effort, we focused on the humanitarian side of Coors by sharing their myriad stories of involvement in community relations projects. One project, a four-color newsletter called “New Horizons,” shares with readers vignettes of civic programs sponsored by the Coors Brewing Company.  One such program, “Literacy in America,” promotes reading skills for youth and their parents. We've also designed MillerCoors promotional materials for small businesses and minority suppliers along with promotional items for the Negro League Baseball Museum.

Print Campaign

To execute this campaign, we assembled a stellar group of graphic artists, photographers and cartoon illustrators to produce the imagery used for University of Colorado. We hired professional copywriters to write headlines and name the system “CU Connect.”  Cartoonist Fred Ott depicted students in unlikely and unconventional places using the telephone to register for classes.  The posters were designed to be colorful and worthy of being placed in dorm rooms and on campus bulletin board.  This effort was a tremendous success.  In addition, the Viewbook created by MoSo won a CASE award (Council for the Advancement and Support of Education).

Oversized Brochure / Map

Elevation Creation promoted the construction of FasTracks—119 miles of new light rail and commuter rail in the Denver Metropolitan region. The campaign educated the general population to gain support and approval the development of this expanded Transportation System. We used vivid colors, contemporary fonts and images of workers using mass transit, office workers reading the paper on the way to work and families using the new light rail system to visit places of interest. This was a terrific project for Elevation Creation since we support cost efficient public transportation!

Annual Report and Newsletters

Historic Denver, a non-profit civic organization in Denver, is the voice of and advocate for historic preservation in Denver. The design process began by incorporating familiar historic landmarks from the Denver Metropolitan area as graphic elements on all printed pieces. This meant using photos of historic buildings that were saved from destruction by Historic Denver. We redesigned the logomark of Historic Denver and designed the newsletter format in a manner that is reminiscent of a style often used today by established museums. This campaign has helped attract new members, such as principals of architectural firms, developers, civil leaders and real estate professionals.

Tortilla Packaging

La Favorita, a regional tortilla company based in Denver, Colorado, produces fresh and healthy tortilla products. Elevation Creation first created the brand’s identity and refined the package’s tortilla cartoon characters to be friendly, happy-go-lucky entities. The distinctive typeface for the corporation and vivid colors selected required close supervision during the printing of the packaging. For this brand, we created a fun package design featuring animated chilies. We've had the honor of creating over 14 different package designs for La Favorita. Currently, the La Favorita factory delivers food products to over 600 super-markets throughout the western United States.

Educational Booklet

We've produced many publications for the National Endowment for Financial Education. The sample shown is the cover design and four chapter pages we created for the Volunteers of America booklet, Earning And Learning Your Way To The Future.  This 76-page booklet informs young adults and families about methods to improve their personal finances in order to achieve goals.  Artist Tim Lee created the illustrations, which not only depict the booklet’s main financial themes, but reflect the diversity of the target audiences. More than 300,000 booklets were printed.

Product Image CD-ROMs and Packaging

The North Face wanted an efficient method of promoting hundreds of adventure gear products to distributors. We solved the problems associated with delivering print marketing materials by creating a series of CD-ROMs. The CD-ROMs included an interactive flash introduction, an engaging interface and a five-panel CD-ROM holder displaying images of the latest product line. To date, five CD-ROMs have been produced and shipped to The North Face distributors and sales force. By using this state-of-the-art marketing approach, The North Face has realized a cost savings of hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Ad Campaign

Reef Gallery creates, installs and maintains custom saltwater aquariums for a variety of corporate and residential clients. Reef Gallery uses colorful graphics that could be used on traditional items, such as advertisements, brochures, along with non-traditional items, such as aquarium acrylic, vans and promotional aquatic products. A beautiful logomark launched the campaign along with a website. Elevation Creation displays brilliant coral reefs, invertebrates, live rock and marine fish throughout their campaign.  We always include exotic invertebrates to attract the saltwater hobbyist.

To position Havaball as an exciting and stimulating new pet toy, Elevation Creation started by creating a contemporary design for the campaign. All marketing materials incorporated the distinctive Havaball bounce. This lively style not only positioned Havaball as a fun product, but distinguished StellarPets fromits competition, most of which had not updated their design styles for several years. To date, we have created display exhibitions, an interactive website, several award winning ads, a CD-ROM video presentation, sales brochures, and all packaging designs for the Havaball product line. StellarPets was purchased by Kong Toy Company and continues expansion throughout the world.

Ad and Print Campaign

T&R is one of Denver's premier service provider of new digital solutions. Our creative team played off the initials T&R in the headlines, body copy and concepts. We used the skills of our professional photographer and numerous hours of Photoshop manipulation for this campaign. The Tennis shoes & Rhino image targeted corporate clients who wanted large-format printing with a quick turnaround. A Toucan & Rose image targeted contemporary art directors looking for a color partner. The copy read “Together We Make A Brilliant Combination.” An image of a Tie being worn by a Rooster targeted corporate marketing executives.  This has been one of our most favorite campaigns.

Awareness Campaign

The United States Geological Servey, better known as USGS, hired us to create and design a new exhibit space to introduce their new division, GeoHazards. A new identity and logo was created by our design team. An earthy red color was chosen and used on materials dedicated to GeoHazards’ three areas of concern: earthquakes, geomagnetism, and landslides. Satellite images and rare photographs from around the world were used in a tri-fold brochure and a plasma screen flash presentation. Approximately 15,000 brochures were printed and distributed to the general public, government agencies, and key members of Congress and the US Senate.

Print Campaign

Elevation Creation was enthused to promote a development that offers tremendous benefits and points of distinction for loft owners. We wanted to spotlight the emotional and visual benefits of spacious loft living along the banks of Cherry Creek. To highlight these features, Elevation Creation created a Flash website that informs visitors to spectacular scenes of the neighborhood, creek, bike paths, Pepsi Center, Denver Performing Arts Center, Historic Larimer Square and other landmarks by using an interactive map.  Before ground breaking, 60% of the lofts were sold. We have also been hired for other projects by the developer.

Identity

Western State College wanted a powerful new identity to connect with new students. Response from students and faculty interviews provided the reasons students enjoyed attending Western State College.  We realized that their where three compelling reasons students attended the College: It’s proximity to Crested Butte with world class skiing, the rich history of this southwest region of Colorado and areas of specialty degrees programs like history, anthropology, geology and recreation. Our design team returned a nostalgic look and feel to the College’s identity by using an old west style of customized calligraphy for their logo identity.

Fitzsimons is one of the largest life science centers in America. To portray this, we created a multitude of photographic visuals to express the energy of this economic center. We consistently present an area ready for, and prepared for new employment opportunities, planned communities, hospitals and university research groups. Our team of designers have redesigned many of the marketing materials for Fitzsimons and we look forward to working with them for years to come as the final built-out phase of the Life Science Center is completed.

Print Campaign. Colorful, unique, fresh and engaging! These are the words that our client Albertsons wanted to convey in their new print campaign.  We used unique photos, many of them original compositions, combining them with impactful headlines for consumer ad publications. Albertsons continues to require great creative solutions while they refresh their core food services, stores and brand.
